David Price is an established ceramicist working with clay for the last 40 years. His current work is produced by throwing, a technique which he finds particularly satisfying, allowing him to impart a specific dynamic tension into the forms. He uses red and white earthenware clays and has a preference for matt glazes and dry surfaces, achieving similar qualities through the application of terra sigillata slips. The surface quality ranges from eggshell to a satin like sheen. He smoke fires some of the pots to introduce some spontaneous movement and subtle colours.

David also produces murals to commission and runs courses at both his pottery in over looking the Black Mountains in Wales and Greece.
